Intuitive Threads - DYCP Project

Intuitive Threads - an exploration of the nature and role of intuition in the creative process through Saori and intuitive approaches to weaving.

I was really excited to find out in December that my application to Arts Council England for a Developing your Creative Practice Award was successful. This personal research and development project runs from January 2023 to 2024.

I will be sharing more about the project and my progress on my website Intuitive Threads page, on my blog and Social Media Instagram @ameswibs , Twitter @amiwib

Forget-me-not Collection for ME

May is ME Awareness month. ME or Myalgic Encephalitis also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sometimes also Post Viral Fatigue, is a chronic illness that remains little understood. Although the main feature is debilitating fatigue there are also a wide variety of challenging symptoms that come with it. Those who are severely affected are housebound for many years. I have been having my own experience of this illness for almost five years and feel myself fortunate to only be moderately affected. I wanted to do something to help raise awareness and also hopefully raise some money for the following charities ME Association, Action for ME, ME Action UK. I have put a range of my designs featuring forget-me-nots on my Red Bubble store and on my Woven Monkey store and I will donate any money I earn from sales of products and fabrics featuring these designs.
